This month:- Drummond 476 class, no.479, Abbotsford
Dugald Drummond's 4-4-0 Express Passenger Locomotive Abbotsford entered traffic in 1877 and was the basis of many
which were to follow, not only on the North British Railway but also on the Caledonian, Highland and LSWR.
Number 476 Aberdeen was the first to be built but because Abbotsford was the locomotive used for the official photographs the class became known by that name.
